Zetech University Student Hangs Himself At Witeithie, Thika
Ryan, a 21-year-old Zetech University student living in Witeithie, was found dead after he took his own life by hanging from an apartment wall.
His tragic decision came after posting a heartfelt and disturbing suicide note on his Facebook page, where he detailed his struggles with financial hardship, academic pressure, and personal trauma.
He revealed that he had been faking a prosperous life while grappling with unpaid rent, lack of food, and having to sell his household items to survive.
He accused a lecturer of failing him in an exam, which he felt was the final straw, leaving him without the means or will to repeat the course, pay rent, and continue his education.
He also shed light on his past, mentioning being raised by a single mother and the emotional scars from childhood molestation, which compounded his current struggles. Despite appearing to be in good spirits to his peers, Ryan’s life was fraught with unseen battles.
Zetech University has expressed deep sorrow over Ryan’s death, offering condolences and counseling services to students and staff.
